Real Kentucky Backwoods, not far from the city. A great place to hike and see mushrooms (after moist conditions). Wear long pants, boots, and be prepared for ticks. A rocky stream runs along the road, and serves as a great place to cool your feet in the summer.

A lonely, unpopular place to go for a hike. We go there so we can hike with our dogs off leash. There are two parking locations. One when you first get there. The other is across a creek and I don't recommend taking a car across it. We have an SUV.
It's a nice drive and place to see animals. Not too far from the city and very quiet, only one trail seemed to not be overgrown someone should go and clear the trails, I see signs that say no hunting but people seem to ignore them :( ....other than that it's a cool place.
Create local park for some good rugged hikes. Few trails but if it's been raining a lot it's hard to find a good parking spot.
Iv been there often however disappointed in parking trails not marked well no maps no idea where to go. No matter how disappointed will still visit even there is still better than a day staying home
