You can call this a hidden gem! I was surprised on how delicious the food was. I was under the impression they had regular hand food but there selection was great. Definitely a spot to come back and share with friends and family.

It was Saturday night during Covid and my friends and I wanted to get together for drinks for the first time in 5 months. Since every bar is closed during Covid, we had to find a restaurant with a bar that had open reservations. After about an hour of searching, we sold on The Local Peasant. I've been here once before for Sunday brunch, and I loved their self-serve bloody Mary bar. We were seated outdoors and we had a little less than an hour to have some drinks and some food. Since we already had dinner earlier that evening, we decided to get a few appetizers in addition to our mezcal drinks. We ordered the the crab cakes, brussel sprouts, and tuna tartar. Another friend ordered the vegetable sandwich, fries, and cheesecake l. Everything looked and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back for food and drinks at some point in the near future. It was a great night out in L.A. in months.

My first time ordering at Local Peasant, they recommended a fried chicken sandwich. The crust on the chicken was literally black - so burnt. They said it came on a pretzel role but it appeared to be a jalapeno cheese bagel.Whatever it was, it had a big hole in the middle which made it hard to eat. I would never go back. How dare they put in a burnt chicken sandwich in a box to go and charge me 20 for it.

I tried this place already with a friend and I am hooked since then. I loved the great ambience and flavorful dishes and drinks. 5 stars from me.

Great spot for elevated comfort food. I've had the burger, which is delicious, the mac-n-cheese is rich and creamy, and the grilled cheese with tomato soup is so good. They have a nice draft beer selection, as well. All with great service in a homey atmosphere.
