It took them 21 days to replace the battery in my macbook pro. This has something to do with covid, but also their inefficiency. I came in and told them my battery was bad and I wanted it replaced. This could be done in an afternoon at the apple store. They said the average wait was about 10 days. That was already awful, but then 10 days later they called me to \let me know\ that my battery needed to be replaced! So they spent 10 DAYS just to tell me what I told them on day one. They proceeded to tell me that they would at that point order my battery from apple, but that itself could take over a week and then they have to take time to actually replace my old one. You probably have no choice of going here, but if you do or you have something as simple as a battery replacement, try and find somewhere else to go. All else considered, everyone I spoke to was very kind and respectful, and at the end of the 21 days I got what I needed.

A letter on my keyboard wasn’t working. I made an appointment — the earliest they had was 5 days from the point I started looking. I showed up at my appointment time and they were behind as they were only allowing two customers in at a time. Understandable. When I go in I tell them what the issue is as I stated when I made the appointment. “A key on my keyboard isn’t working.” “That’s gonna take at 10 - 14 days.” I stared at him trying to make sure I heard what I thought I heard. I did. And that was the expedited time. “You could connect it to a wireless keyboard.” “But my laptop keyboard still wouldn’t work.” “Yeah.” The two stars are points for safety. The missing stars are for lack of solutions and efficient customer service.
If you are reading these reviews deciding whether to fix your device here... DON'T! I went in for a keyboard issue and they took twelve days to start fixing my device (only when I started to press them about i)t. Also, when I received the device back, my TouchID wasn't working, when it was working perfectly fine just before.They are stressful to deal with and don't really know what they are talking about. Please just work directly with Apple, this company ain't worth it.

Charged 69 to take the back off my laptop, tell me the battery was swollen and put it back on. This 5 minute job took them 10 days to complete. Laptop still not working. I can see maybe 4O for time, but their prices have shot up since they moved from Encino. Maybe new owners? The young guy at the front was nice and saw that I was being over charged, so he questioned the tech named SAM to take some off, but Sam said no dice. So I paid, the nice guy gave me a ‘gift’ of a wireless phone charger which didn’t work which was a perfect punctuation mark to my Unitek experience. So no, I would not recommend Unitek Sherman Oaks to ANYONE.
