There aren't enough stars available to describe Morgan and her team at the S.A.S. ! They have helped us so much with our Dog adoption and overall wellness and health of our newest member of the family D.D., their compassion for animals and servant heart was obvious when we were in the process of losing our family dog of 16 years, Jake. Being a public servant of the community comes with many challenges, and I've dealt with many shelters over the years....but the S.A.S. is BY FAR head and shoulders above the others I've seen. Thank you!!!

Our naughty boy got out and was taken to Sherman Animal Shelter. We got him back safe and updated his shots! They were great with him and very friendly staff. It was the best experience for something so scary.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I came and got a golden retriever mix on 08/07/2020. She wasn't available to adopt as of yet because she hadn't been spayed, but I was allowed to have her to foster. She was new to the shelter and wasn't named, I was between Bella and Shelley, and my kids decided on Bella (though I told the shelter I'd maybe name her Shelly- that's what they put in the system). I picked her up, took her home, and she easily and quickly got comfortable with me and my two kids. MY KIDS WERE IN LOVE WITH HER!!! Over a week later, she was a bit lethargic and still wasn't eating properly. I came back to the Shelter Friday, 08/21/2020 because I was worried about her and wanted her to get checked out. The shelter wanted to give me temporary medicine (the vet wasn't available) and then bring her back again when it was time to get spayed to be formally checked out then, but there were two issues with that. First, I wanted to make sure she got the help she needed in case it wasn't what they suggested- I have kids and Bella (Shelley) had been so lethergic at one point that I was standing over her talking and petting her and she wasn't moving. In case the worst happened, I didn't want them to see that. Second, I live an hour and a half away, and just went back to work 08/10/2020 so I couldn't afford to go back and forth and back and forth. I told them this. I was suppose to come and pick her up after she saw the vet and was spayed on Wednesday 08/26/2020. I was told by two different people I'd be called after everything was said and done. They verified my number TWICE. I wasn't called Wednesday afternoon. I wasn't called Thursday afternoon. Finally, I called today Friday 08/28/2020 AND THEY GAVE MINE AND MY KIDS DOG TO ANOTHER FAMILY!!!! I don't expect them to care. They don't have to see the look on my kids faces when I tell them. They've asked about her EVERY DAY that she's been gone and I thought we were waiting for her to be seen but no, she's gone!
