Cleversburg Jct is by far one of my favorite railfanning locations on the busy NS Lurgan Branch, with its short fences ( 4 - 5 ft ) it makes it Ideal for younger railfans. And no need to bring your big & bulky scanner because they almost always have one running. The only thing that's a little disappointing is that there isn't an ATCS ( Advanced Train Control System ) there to view which trains are coming, so you better know the CP's ( Control Points ) around the area. Also, No need to worry about seating or shade with the pavilion housing shade and picnic tables. And the thing that takes the win is the fact that most of the time NO ONES THERE!!! So its a perfect way to relax and enjoy the railfanning hobby. I would definitely recommend coming to just check it out, but you will want to come in the afternoon that's the busiest time of day. If you enjoy watching trains this small park is for you. Small pavilion built right beside the Norfolk Southern rail. Fenced for safety so you don't have to worry about children straying to close to the track.
My train fans loves this place!
