Shawn, the company owner, treated our home as if it was his own, with a level of attention to quality, beauty, and structural integrity that we greatly appreciated. We have an occasional leak in our townhome that's been tricky to diagnose. Unfortunately, we were unable to start a home repair job with Select Build, because Shawn decided to \pass\ on the job when I requested a bid / estimate. Parts of the job were knowable and parts were exploratory and I wanted to understand that better. He wanted a 5,000 or 10,000 initial deposit on a completely open-ended contract, and I'm just not at all comfortable with that. If he's busy with clients who will fling five figures his way completely blind, then more power to him, but I'm not one of them.
