Absolutely beautiful cathedral in Shreveport, Louisiana. If you are looking for a church to belong to in Northeast Louisiana, definitely try St. John Berchmans. I have definitely felt welcome and invited!

I was traveling from Dallas to Lafayette, LA and chose to stop at this cathedral very last minute (knowing it may not be unlocked). I happen to come on an evening when there was an assembly going on at the school next door. I explained my situation, and asked the right person about letting me in to pray for a few minutes (my seminarian friend told me it was beautiful - and he wasn't wrong!), and she hesitantly agreed! I am forever thankful to her! What a beautiful Cathedral! St. John Berchmans, pray for us!

It was a wonderful service. It's only the second time I've been there but I like Father Peter great job.

I love going to Mass here. The atmosphere is special, the music sounds professional and the stained glass is beautiful. Father Peter and the others are very welcoming. They also have interesting relics in the sanctuary, too, plus, they recently put together a museum about the Shroud of Turin!
