Best Indian food in Shreveport. Family favorite providing exceptional service and cuisine for years in Shreveport. Great Food, highly recommended break from the Tex-Mex food that dominates the local restaurant scene. The food is delicious with wonderful spice and seasoning. Try Indigo if you haven't or return if it's been awhile. The owner will great you at the door and treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Great for To-Go or Takeout orders, also. Support local business and enjoy the delicious food that this gem has to offer.
My wife and I have been back to this restaurant three times. If you read the reviews, most will say the owner is awkward, pushy, or he ignores the customers. One thing to remember about the Indian culture compared to ours is they are not going to constantly come up and ask if you are alright or need something every three-five minutes. Personally, I am fine with this because most servers tend to annoy us when we are trying to eat. Also, once you are complete with you meal, you are encouraged to stay and socialize. If you do not wish to stay longer, you get up and go to the main desk to pay for your meal. The food is good, the complementary fried potato (I think they are potato) cakes with a green (spicy) and a red (sweeter) sauce. Regardless of what others with the negative reviews state, this place is not bad. We have enjoyed our experience each time and it is nice when the owner remembers who you are.
