Maria & company at Van Dorn Pools & Spas were excellent to work with in selecting, installing & assisting us in all aspects of our purchase of our J-345 Jacuzzi. Adding to the process, we were building a separate Spa Room to hold the Jacuzzi & they were all very helpful in working with us to co-ordinate this. Maria and Brendon did a great job of getting us info we needed to keep our project moving. And the Delivery & Installation Teams did an outstanding job of getting our Jacuzzi into our new Spa Room. Had no issues with Van Dorn last summer, but they have massively missed the mark with their customer service these last several weeks. I have tried to call countless times over the last few weeks, and it's not uncommon to sit on the phone while it rings for over 5 minutes with no response. Why is there no answering machine? If you know you're going to be busy, then have more staff working at the beginning of pool season, or at least set up a call service. In addition to not taking water samples right now, the \curbside pickup\ leaves much to be desired. Call ahead several hours and show up just to find your order has yet to be filled and prepped for you. Not to mention the new staff member who is snotty as can be over the phone. I'm very close to throwing in the towel with Van Dorn and driving further to get service. Very disappointed with the disorganized chaos and terrible customer service going on there lately. Truly disappointing from a company that I used to have nothing but positive experiences with.
VanDorn is always helpful and provide quality products. No need to discuss gow busy you are with customers. It is a good thing, right?
Our new Nordic hot tub from Van Dorn is installed, and we have been using it every evening. It is perfect for us and we could not be happier with it. We have owned hot tubs for about 25 years and this one is, by far, the most comfortable. The deep water is just right for us, and the jets are strong — or soft — as we want them to be at different times. The whirlpool effect is delightful, and so is the light. The edge of the tub is comfortable to rest a head on, and there are open, unobstructed seats all around the circle, including a perfect “cool-off” seat. It is easy to get in and out — using only one step up and swinging a leg. The deep water is the main thing! The specific round Nordic models with this deep water are named Crown XL and Warrior XL. We have reviewed the hot tubs from every manufacturer we can find, and the only other contenders are the traditional wooden tubs, which can be purchased in deep sizes. The Nordic pump/heater system is simple, quiet, and effective, and the chemistry is easy to maintain. We chose the Cover Rx cover lifter -- it is particularly easy to use and does not require screwing into the cover or the tub. The means you can easily remove and \flip\ the cover cores to extend their life, and you can place and move the lifter wherever you want to. We happily recommend Van Dorn, and this attractive, economical hot tub to anybody who is interested.
