We drove from Ann Arbor, MI to Sidney, NE in one day and needed a room at a reasonable price. We found this place and called ahead. Room was ready when we arrived and was cleaner than any 'chain hotel' we have stayed in since leaving Phoenix, AZ two weeks ago. The bed was comfortable, the towels were great and the price was more than affordable. For an overnight stop on a very long road trip, this was the best. The age of the motel and the train that occasionally passes by reminded me of the family road trips when I was a kid before the time when the chain hotels were everywhere. I would stay here again any time I have pass thru Nebraska.

The cheap price and the term "motel" may give you the same doubts it gave me, but let go of your presumptions because you're about to embark on a life-changing stay at the Sleep for Less Motel. The rooms are small so bigger groups should definitely get more than one room. However, they radiate cozy and home-like feelings. We entered our room to witness a perfectly spotless space, an incredibly comfy king-sized bed, and a sparkling clean bathroom, The breakfast for 2 was the best 17 we've ever spent for we left the place changed people. As if Mr. Bluebird came to deliver the basket themself, the most perfect breakfast was delivered on the dot: Muffins packed with blueberries, hard-boiled eggs, orange juice in mason jars, fresh apples dusted with cinnamon, churned butter, and real honey from bees; all made from their garden, chicken coop, or homemade. I, Jacob, have never put honey on my muffin, but you bet my buns were battered in that sweet nectar. Karri and her husband gave us a warm welcome and even gave us a morning tour of their organic garden and coop. For people who don't like cats, get ready to meet the most dog-like cats: Buster Brown and Smokey. These two are by far the most adorable, fluffiest, and friendliest felines we've ever met. The couple did an excellent job turning these affectionate strays into incredibly well-mannered staffers. Take the extra 5 minutes to drive North of the I-80 to the Sleep For Less Motel. You won't regret witnessing true American hard work. - Julia & Jacob

Adorable place. Extremely kind and helpful owners. Had our a/c and light on waiting for us when they heard we were getting in late. Enjoyed their yummy muffins and organic fruit for breakfast (order ahead of time!). Beautiful views and garden area to eat in and explore. Very family friendly. We will be back. Thank you!

I was trying to book a room on booking.com and they said that they would not charge my card to until I got there... well after I “booked” it the site immediately said that the room was no longer available, so I’ll have to find another hotel. So I found another hotel thinking that the motel was not available and the booking failed. At 10:00 pm they called me (while I was at the other hotel) and said that they were waiting for us... I told them that I thought there weren’t any available rooms and that the booking failed. So I just thought it was a misunderstanding, and I didn’t think anything else about it. Well, this morning I checked my bank account and the motel took out the money for a room I didn’t get to stay in!!! So I talked to the owner and told her what happened, and that I want my money back. She said that it wasn’t an issue with them, that it was an issue with booking.com, and the money came out automatically and that there was nothing she can do, and then she hung up on me!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place!! I’m going to contact The Better Business Bureau!!!

This is an interesting motel. My guess is it is from 40s or 50s. Old heating system was interesting. The owner has great positive friend vibe. I stayed this place at the begining of Covid epidemic, the governor of this state placed a travel ban from large cities at that day and the owner of this motel was very scared. I believe that is why room sheet was dirty. I guess she didn't want to spend time in the room that is possibly contagious. Hope the situation is better now.

Very clean, extremely comfortable room. Old school wall heater was cool. Kept room nice and toasty. Bed was comfortable, surrounding area was nice and quiet. Owners are really nice people. If quiet, comfortable, no frills are what you're looking for then this is definitely it. Had enough room for the vac truck I drove and more. Will most definitely be back if I'm in Sidney again.
