Very much enjoyed my journey with SMI to the top of Mt Whitney. Any future mountaineering, I’ll definitely come back to Kurt and his team. I will also be recommending SMI to anyone else planning to climb.

What a great experience. It was chilly but comfortable with the right gear and layers. If your not sure what to bring ask. Some great basics to build upon and I plan to. Our instructor Hjordis was great and made some new hiking friends. Highly recommend it.
SMI is fantastic! I took a winter trip up Mt. Whitney with them in Feb 2021. Kurt and Trevor, our guide were extremely accommodating and personable. There expertise is unparalleled and on top of it all, Trevor is not just excellent mountaineer, but can really cook! Took Snow Travel and Crevasse Rescue courses Feb. 6 & 7, 2021. I was impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the staff. My first steps into Mountaineering were very well managed, and I will be back!
