AMAZING but: realize that it’s a one hour drive into the park on Route 15 and after Silver City there is NOTHING. be prepared BEFORE YOU drive in. it’s a DEADEND at the monuments. one way in one way out. VERY SHORT hike but seeing the cliff dwellings was amazing. worth the drive in and out (although that was gorgeous in of itself). Definitely worth the trek if you haven’t seen anything like this. No cell service the entire time in and out.

There Gila Cliff dwellings are amazing! It's 43 scenic miles from Silver City. It's a beautiful drive! The folks that work there are very helpful and full of information. I am in awe of this beautiful place ! Take nothing but memories. It was a winding hike to the dwelling. The trail is well tended. This place is amazing!

A must see! Wear comfy walking shoes as it's a bit of a hike on a trail to the cliff site. Well worth the visit. A place you won't soon forget! Park rangers are super nice and helpful too! Awesome, beautiful place!!

A well-kept secret of New Mexico. Mind you, this place can be treacherous if you visit in the dead of winter because of snow and ice. It's up a winding road, so if you get motion sickness, beware. Other than that, it's a nice little hike and the surrounding scenery (the Gila River and Gila National Forest) are great to check out as well.

Hike up was a little tough but the views were amazing and seeing the dwellings and how people lived was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Definitely recommend.
