One year down and so far so good. The building, including the amenities, are safe and clean and look forward to taking advantage of more of them once the pandemic ends. The maintenance staff is especially responsive and friendly. Management has been responsive as well. I definitely recommend AVA Wheaton. Enthusiastically renewing my lease.

This is the fourth Avalon community I’ve lived in and this is by far the best, which is saying something because the others were really good! It is a new building with pool and gym. It is well maintained - very clean, even the trash room!! The staff are always courteous and helpful. I transferred from another community in California and worked with Madelin, who showed me the community and found me an apartment on the top floor (deal breaker), handled the transfer process, and even saw that my boxes were delivered into my apartment prior to my arrival! My apartment was spotless when I moved in. I like that there’s no carpeting, and has nice features like stainless steel appliances, recessed lighting, and self-closing cabinet doors and drawers. Maintenance requests are done within a day. Sound proofing is good - I don't hear my neighbors in the adjoining apartments. The building is secure. Gated garage parking for residents. Guest parking is 10 per night for overnight parking. You need a key fob for just about everywhere. The elevators don't move without one, which means you have to go downstairs to get your guests. For me, that’s a small inconvenience if it makes the building more secure. There's a hub where you receive your packages and you're alerted via text/email. I like that you can pay your rent and make service requests online. As with communities of this kind, rent is not cheap but here you do get your money's worth in my opinion.
I love living here. The staff goes above and beyond at every opportunity. This may be a little old, but on August 18, 2019 it was hot as hell. I came home after being away for the weekend to find that I had no air conditioning. Within 30 minutes of reporting the issue, Melvin knocked on my door. He had the A/C up and running in record time. While I am a little slow in publicly acknowledging the outstanding staff and service, nothing has changed since that hot summer Sunday. Despite the challenges of Covid-19, the staff remains outstanding.
The Ava Wheaton is one of the most welcoming communities that I've ever lived in. Brian was phenomenal in providing a warm and generous environment for me and boys. The facilities are beautiful, modern, and one of the best in the city. The staff is responsive, caring, and will go above and beyond to make your stay an impeccable one. Brian even helped me to secure an awesome parking space, making morning school drop offs seamless and and less stressful. The apartments are BEAUTIFUL and the courtyard and lobby are absolutely fabulous. It's a safe and friendly environment and I am truly thankful to the entire team for the awesome community events, support, and welcome.
