Even though I live just 5 minutes away, I make a point to stay at least one night a year at Silverlaken! It's my favorite way to experience all that Silver Lake has to offer. The first time I visited in the summer with my 7 year old, who was ALL about the tree tent experience! For my second visit, I booked the New England Tiny House with my boyfriend for a quick fall getaway. The temperatures are perfect in the summer; in the fall you get a gorgeous view of foliage and I was thankful the tiny house was heated and well insulated. There's plenty to see and do in the area but you might find yourself just wanting to hang by the peaceful water front, hop in a kayak or sit and read by the campfire with a drink. This glampground is extremely family friendly, well maintained, clean and quiet--not to mention affordable for the quality of accommodations and service you receive. Can't wait for my next stay!

We stayed in the waterfront cottage. Very nice little cottage. Very clean. Everything looks brand-new. And you can not beat the front deck overlooking the lake. Staff was very helpful and super friendly. They have all kinds of water toys you can use. Me and my son took out the paddle boat and kayaks. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway on the lake I would highly recommend.

I just got done with my stay at "the lodge" at the silverlarken estate and it was nothing less the exceptional! The property is wonderfully run and the experience was excellent the whole weekend. They offer fire wood and water crafts free of charge! Their dock also accommodated our two fishing boats perfectly. If you get a chance to speak with Mike the property owner please do so, he knows all things silver lake and is a kind soul. The property managers are also very fair and know how to keep a quiet yet fun experience! I will be recommending this stay to others and I also plan to rent one of there smaller properties very soon!

Last weekend Nov 7th we (my partner Jerry and I) escaped to Silver Lake, NY, Letchworth state park and the town of Perry. We decided to take an overnight not far from where we live as the weather called for mid 70’s. We had hoped to camp but turns out the local campgrounds were closed. After posting on FB that we were looking for accommodations it was recommended that we check out Silverlaken Estate. Turns out the owner Michael still had some of his tiny houses open. This is a beautiful piece of property right on silver lake with many different options for accommodations. There are two houses, glancing tents, tree tents, tiny houses and a sauna house (which we wish was open)(Covid)there are kayaks and other water sport options, fire pits, marshmallows and more.... We opted for a hike at Letchworth state park, bubbles upon returning to camp upon the announcement of the 2020 election and then we ventured into Perry to the wine bar Ration and onto The Hole in the wall for dinner. The next morning I made us a campers breakfast, French press coffee and leftovers bubbles. The weather was so gorgeous we took our coffee down to the dock for morning meditation. I would highly recommend checking this place out and tell Michael we sent you (fascinating person to know) or of you stop at the wine bar or hole in the wall say hi to Jackie and her husband (chef and owners) there’s also a lovely local butcher shop called butter meat co. Small towns, upstate NY charm and getaways that feel like you’ve traveled somewhere else. This is what warms the heart and makes 2020 something we can get through together.

On a recent gale-force evening, two campers arrived at Silverlaken, located right on the shore of Silver Lake, and piled excessive nesting material into their tree tent. Suspended like a taut trampoline, the tent was cocooned in a rain fly that miraculously kept the interior snug and dry all through the blustery night. The occupants squealed periodically with glee at the circumstances while they polished off an entire pizza from nearby Perry. With community amenities such as kayaks, fire pits, and a grill, and several types of quarters available from charming tiny houses and cabins to canvas cabins and the tree tents, Silverlaken is economical and an excellent choice for something different right near Letchworth State Park. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The occupants of the tree tent have since vacated, reluctantly, but the warm memory of the experience lingers.
