Trigg Lookout Tower is the last remaining fire tower in Shawnee National Forest that can be climbed. We stopped here while visiting the forest. Excellent views of the surrounding forest and hills at the top, perhaps the best view in the forest. The top of the tower was a little sketchy so we didn't hang out too long. I understand that since our visit, they have closed the tower to climbing for safety reasons. Hopefully, it can be repaired and open to the public again soon.

Another one my husband and myself's favorite lil spots to stop by while over checking out the trails. There is not a restroom or picnic tables FYI, though, so plan accordingly very cool place to check out though and even more fun to climb and take in the breathing view from the top!!
