Evans was a wonderful experience, from the very beginning. Receptionist was super nice and made us feel like we had picked the right place to have our pictures taken. When we arrived they were ready for us. Jami our daughter who was having her pictures taken loved that her name was on the dressing room door. Such attention to every detail, and yet so personable. Picking the pictures was the hardest part and they were so helpful with that as well putting whatever pictures we wanted side by side for comparison. They also worked with us for a short time line of getting our pictures taken and touched up!! Such a beautiful afternoon, we enjoyed it all!
It's not hard to find a photographer nowadays, but I would argue that it still incredibly hard to find an artisan who cares like Rod Evans. Not only is he incredibly skilled and knowledgeable about his craft, he is a genuinely nice and down-to-earth individual who makes sure that your experience from start to finish is memorable and fun. Rod is a joy to work with and he can make anyone laugh and feel at ease. For example, when my 70 year old grandma from Vietnam came to visit, we decided that we should celebrate her and my dad's first reunion in over 20 years with photos. To preface all this, I'd like to note a couple things: 1) my family has never really sat down for family portraits, 2) my grandma knows at most 10 words in English, and 3) we thought we were just going to take a simple picture and that would be it. We were blown away at our session with Rod. He worked with all of us, encouraging us into poses that best fit our personalities, without even knowing us all that much. He even got my grandma to laugh! To this day, though she is back in Vietnam now, she still cherishes the portraits that Rod took of our family. Of course, the photographs and the prints that Evans Gallery makes are top notch, but I would argue that they are bonuses in addition to the exceptional service and experience that Rod provides. I would strongly encourage any one who is looking for one-of-a-kind photographic art and an experience to remember to give Rod a call. Come for the photos, stay for the experience!
Rod has taken pictures of my family and my sons several times. He did an outstanding job. They were not your run-of-the-mill family pictures, we've been through those in the past. He's creative and made our pictures unique. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is looking for exceptional pictures of themselves or their family.
I cannot say enough great things about Evan's Portrait Gallery! Rod took newborn photos of my daughter nearly 18 years ago and he just did her senior portrait session. Rod's talent and creativity comes through in every photo, while capturing the personality of the person he's photographing. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!
