We love the Artsy community of Sitka. A MUST STOP IS THE WILD ARTS GALLERY...you won't regret it and you will participate in glass work. We go every time we go to Alaska...once you are done with your glass canes....have it made into a great piece of jewelry!

The cruise ship docked at the old dock. We had to take a shuttle to town to catch the bus for our excursion.
We really loved Sitka. The other Alaska stops on our tour took us to "Jersey Boardwalk" looking towns. This is a real town with historic architecture, beautiful churches, a baby bear preserve and a lovely totem park. The town also has a boarding school for First Nations kids with very high graduation rates and college admissions rates. The people in Sitka care deeply about their state and their Alaska heritage. If you are reviewing tour or cruise itineraries, find a tour that includes Sitka. It's a lovely town.
Sitka provides shuttle to and from cruise to town... town is adorable
Loved it here ! Such a cute little town in Alaska! We stopped here 6 to 7 hours. Celebrity Eclipse cruiseship docked here and the passengers toured this beautiful town !
Convenient port, shuttle service to town. Shopping in terminal building
