Great kayak experience with guide Mariah! Took my teenage girl on a guided trip through Sitka sound. Unforgettable experience! Great job guys. Advise to wear soft sole shoes and not work boots like me. Your feet will appreciate it.

My husband and I went on a sea kayaking adventure with Sitka Sound in September and we felt very informed, educated and safe with all of the instruction that the team provided for us before and during the tour. Our guide, Allie, was fantastically knowledgeable about Sitka's history, kayaking and an unbelievably superior person all around. The kind of person you could talk with for hours, simply fascinating. We would highly recommend these tours and would go on a longer one next time. The waters were great, the guides make sure everyone is comfortable before even getting in the water and once you are on the water as well. Great times, wonderful memories and beautiful images. Professionally done, my friends!

The kayaking trip was a highlight for my family in Sitka. I would definitely go with Sitka Sound Ocean Adventures again. Garrett and Connor were amazing guides and were informed, kind, and helpful. The guides do a great job with safety and making sure you have a great experience. My entire family went with kids' ages from 13-21. All the kids did great and enjoyed this experience. We have fun in the water and fun walking on our trail and learning more about the WWII history. So beautiful!! Don't miss this.

We had a great trip, we loved the intimate experience afforded by sea kayaking, getting to cover a lot of area and see so much coastline and marine wilderness in one day. Very organized, personable and competent guides and low key approach. Thanks!

Excellent experience!!. Our guide Garrett was awesome! full of information of the area and just an all around cool guy to be out paddling with. Even if you don't have any experience kayaking they'll have you covered. A must do adventure while in Sitka.

Half-Day Sitka Sound Paddle & Cruise The trip was very nice. We went from island to island by kayak. So you could enjoy the coast. At the rocks you could see many starfish, anemones and other animals. Also some fish could be seen. The highlight was the jellyfish swarm, which we discovered by chance. The route was cleverly chosen by Ali (our guide), so that we had tail wind during long paddle distances. For refreshment there was a homemade cookie during paddling. Arriving at the beach we had lunch together, which was organized by Sitka Sound Ocean Adventures. There was also food for people with allergies or gluten intolerance. On the way home with the ship we could still see sea lions. But we were stopped specially so that we could take photos. In summary, this kayak trip was one of the best experiences for me in Alaska. It was very calm and very exciting. Ali was also a great guide. If you are in Sitka, you should definitely do a tour.

I was in Sitka for a few days and was looking for a kayak rental and not expecting too much. These guys were great! Their passion for what they do shines and I couldn’t have been more thrilled at my experience. We saw sea otters, sea lions, eagles, herring, and several whales. 10 out of 10 would recommend over and over again.

Their half-day kayak tour was excellent. Ive been on many guided kayak & raft trips and this ranks among the best. Family owned, and operated, with very helpful staff. The equipment was in good condition, the beach lunch was tasty, and healthy, and our guide was excellent. Having a motorized ride back to town with additional wildlife viewing was a great bonus.
