Nice shop run by old man Tom - good source for some cheap rentals, used gear, or just some free advice on the skiing/winter activities around the area. Feel free to call ahead. I rented a pair of xcross skis for 15 with boots and poles. Had a blast!

Tom is very sweet and helpful! I went skiing the first day at Okemo, and used their rentals at their prices. It was my first time, and I had a really difficult experience. Then my friends and I went to Sitzmark Ski Shop, just out of curiosity because we drove past it. Tom was very encouraging to me as a beginner, and helped me figure out the issues I had with the rental equipment, and what would work better for me. And renting the same set from him cost almost 25% of what it cost me at the lodge! He was also very understanding when we showed up close to closing time the first day, and then AFTER closing time to return the rentals the next day. Very kind, knowledgeable, and always ready with a humorous anecdote. I would definitely recommend anyone skiing around the area to make the drive to his place instead of paying the extra at the mountain!
Quaint mom and pop, shop, friendly couple that advised us on not only skis/snowboards, but also the surrounding area as it was our first time in Vermont. Great prices and quick process.
