Mark did a great job helping my wife and I get more comfortable with our camera. Our pictures look a lot better now thanks to his guidance. He is very knowledgeable and we hope to take a more advanced class from him in the future.

I took the basics workshop in January 2020. I think Mark was having trouble with his automated system (I.e. to communicate about the upcoming class), but he was always easily accessible via the phone number on his website. I enjoyed the class a lot. Learn a lot about how to use my camera (knobs, buttons, etc.) and how to account for light when taking a photo. It’s important to remember this is a basics class, which I needed (so the topics are very basic). I would highly recommend for anyone who needs help navigating their new camera!

I took one of Marks one on one sessions and I am very happy to say that it is well worth your time and money. He not only will teach you so much important information he will make sure to listen to any and all concerns and questions you have. I have been able to immediately put the tips and tricks he taught me into use and my photography has greatly improved because of it. Mark is also very accommodating, I had to run out early from the session and he was quick to schedule a follow up for the remainder of the time at no extra cost. If you are looking to up your photography skills look no further than these courses, you be very happy that you took them!

Mark was a great instructor. I highly recommend taking a class from Smarter Picks. The small class size was just what is needed for learning your camera. Mark was very knowledgeable about all types of cameras. He provided helpful information about products that would make taking photos easier. There was a session after lunch where we had the opportunity to go out and actually take photos and try what we learned. It was a relaxed setting and I expect to be looking into other classes that Mark offers. Highly recommend the basic class to learn your camera. I feel that I have a greater understanding of the basic aspects of photography after spending the day with Mark and my other classmates yesterday. Looking forward to having him come to Potterville to help with specific lighting issues we have at our school. Thank you Mark for your time and all of the information that you shared.

Excellent class! I learned a lot, and Mark is really good at explaining everything. He has a lot of knowledge and is good at sharing that knowledge with you. Loved the smaller class atmosphere as it felt more like tutoring. I highly recommend taking this class for anybody who wants to get into photography or even just wants to take better pictures of vacations, your kids, etc.
