I can not speak highly enough about Johnston Regional Airport. Walking through the doors of the facility, you are immediately greeted with a welcoming smile and positive attitude. The building itself is charmingly decorated and impeccably clean. The entire atmosphere of the airport is unlike any I’ve been to boasting a down-home feel with everyone you come into contact with being amazingly friendly and helpful. Ms. Laura Smith, Customer Service Representative, went absolutely above and beyond to assist me in a special request. She expedited the request effectively and effortlessly and followed up to make sure everything in the plans went as planned. If I were able to give Johnston Regional Airport 10 stars, I most certainly would. It was a pleasure doing business with the staff and I look forward to working with them again in the future. Thank you so much!

This is a fantastic airport that has great fuel prices and outstanding customer service. The terminal was recently built so it’s a comfortable place to hang out while getting services. There’s a radio shop on the field if you need your avionics worked on. I’m based at KGSO and I go to Ocracoke often, which makes KJNX is a great refueling point. Laura, the customer service manager is kind and pleasant to talk with.

Really nice non towered field with an ILS and LPVs. The runway is in great shape and the FBO staff is very friendly. The facility is better than any of the name brand FBOs out there. Only issue I have is no self service fuel, but honestly the staff is so reliable it’s not a valid gripe unless you want to leave before 7am or after 6pm. The entire airfield is well kept and is about 35 min from Raleigh.
