Employees have their nose out of their masks, don’t enforce masks on customers, and as I’m standing in line I overhear one employee (a lady with short black hair at the money services desk) literally encouraging a customer to keep her mask off. I ended up leaving the store before getting any service because as a high risk individual because I didn’t feel safe. Lots of elderly people from the surrounding senior living communities shop here, my own grandmother shops here, and I’m appalled at the behavior from some of the staff. Please do better.

They are out of the stuff I need about 40% of the time, not sure if this smiths gets more foot traffic than others but everytime I go it looks like an apocalypse is about to happen with low stock, employees are nice though!
I was just shopping at Smith's in Orem about a half hour ago. I have always felt safe there because they have a sign on the door that says masks are required. As I went in I noticed a couple of people who were not wearing masks. I am an older person and I am concerned about my health. I asked the people why they weren't wearing a mask and they said that they didn't see any sign about Masks so they didn't have to wear one. I went to the customer service person and asked her if there was anything she could do about it and she said not really, it's up to them. And I noticed another lady checking out next to me who was not wearing any mask. I asked her about it and she said she didn't want to wear one. When I got home I called the store manager and she said if I had reported it to her she would have said something to them, but she was very iffy about it and I was pretty sure she would not have said anything, but to be fair when it happens again I will report to the manager. I just don't feel comfortable and safe in a store that won't require people to wear a mask.
I did the pickup service and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were all professional, very detailed and specific in what the got me and the substitutions were excellent. They were fast and effective at communicating, the app worked excellently and the whole process was much smoother than I’d anticipated. Amazing.
I like this Smiths, and I admire certain parts of it. Great Florist, cards, small gift section. Great produce, although sometimes priced high. Their store brand of Kroger, is not great, it's usually not even good. I also never purchase anything from the Meat Dept, due to a female employee years ago in the bathroom , and not washing her hands. I'm sure she's gone, but I can not unsee that, ever! It seems to have a high ratio of vagrants. I have driven in to park, and then pulled out & left, because I didn't feel safe. The entrance flow with the traffic & shoppers coming right out, immediately into a high traffic flow is dangerous. They do have a drive thru Pharmacy..
Every time I go to Smith, it's a bait and switch. I go because of a sale they have, buy what I think is the item, only to realize it wasn't. I got charged an exorbitant price. Today I went to get eggs, looking carefully at the signs I got a box of Kroger 12ct eggs, which is exactly what the sale sign said, only to be charged 2.50 for a dozen! I will admit they can have good prices for meat, but their sales are usually very limited supply, and their regular prices are super high.
Curbside pickup was great. The two gentlemen were extremely kind. Thank you for keeping this an option!
Horrible customer care and the manager on-site is terrible. I have a family emergency where I need to send money to family and it was 8:45 am. There was no sign saying it opens at 9am and the way she blurted out 9am was rude and white privilege. If there was another Smith in Orem I would never go to this Smith. They don't deserve a 1 star. It should be -000000000000
