We recently had Smoke Detector Services replace the smoke alarms in our 27 year old home and clean our dryer vent pipe. The new detector/alarms monitor for both fire and carbon monoxide. Chris clearly explained how they work and how to maintain them. He also thoroughly cleaned our dryer vent pipe, removing an alarming amount of lint that had built up over the years. Overall, the service provided was prompt, professional and courteous, all at a cost I thought was quite reasonable. I highly recommend them.
I highly recommend this company! We have a 20 year old house and I wanted everything up to date before having my son. When Smoke Detector Services came into our home, we found out that all of our smoke detectors had been expired for years. They were also not interconnected, which is a safety hazard for zoning purposes. They changed out all of our smoke detectors to dual fire/carbon dioxide detectors and inserted new batteries. The new code recommends that you have a carbon dioxide detector on each level of your home. He noticed that we had a carbon dioxide detector on our upstairs level and moved it to our basement storage room for extra safety because we now had the dual alarm upstairs. We feel very content and safe in our home. I sleep much better at night knowing my son is safe in the other room and if there was a fire or gas leak, the detectors will alarm. I plan to use the service again next year. We could tell that the owner is very passionate about home safety and teaching others about the risks and precautions that should be taken. He shared with us that he sees things every day that could have been prevented if they had properly working alarms. Thank you Smoke Detector Services for your service.
Chris was awesome! As a realtor I know it can be difficult to find qaulity contractors. He was easy to get a hold of, sent me a quote in my email, came out to complete the work(smoke detectors, CO detectors, and dryer vent clean out)and there were no unexpected fees or charges. It was exactly what he said it would be. He has been to a clients house and now my own. Definitely going on my preferred vendor list.
