I’ve been going to Smooth Dance Studio for two years now and I absolutely love it. The studio is like my home and the people are my family. Everything about Smooth is amazing and I love it more than anything. Dance is one of my passions and Smooth is the best place that I’ve ever been and it feeds my passions so well. The instructors are also all amazing and just all around great people and there’s never a dull moment. If you come to Smooth I can guarantee that you’ll be pleased.

If you desire a place to learn where you don't feel judged, want to have fun and significantly improve your dance skills look no further. Chris is such an amazing teacher and makes classes fun! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this studio. it definitely feels like a family here. Give it a try if you want to become an amazing dancer and meet some fabulous people.

I can't say enough about this studio and its owners/instructors. Chris and Ally are professional, caring, and very talented. I have learned so much through their knowledge and skill levels. I have been dancing here for over a year now and I am able to dance with more confidence in my ability to lead as well as the amount of content that has been covered in such a shirt time. They recognize my skill level and ability to learn quickly and do not try and drag out my lessons to help their studios bottom line. You can tell they truly love to teach these dances and enjoy sharing their passion with others, it's more than a business to them. We started with another studio in Buford and it closed down but it was a blessing because we would never had found Smooth Dance Studio and realized how a studio is dance focused and not business focused. Smooth does everything better with regards to their lessons, classes, financial options, they only have quality instruction and never waste your time or money. I can speak about this because I was a part of a studio that made me feel like I was just a financial arrangement it never felt like it was about the dance. Chris and Ally are professional and know how to have a blast at the same time!!! There is never any drama, it's all about the love of the dance! We all have a great time! I do not live close but it's worth the drive every week!!! This is the place to be if you TRULY want to learn how to dance, it's such an amazing place!!!

Smooth Dance Studio is by far the best ballroom studio out there. Allie and Alex are wonderful and very knowledgeable about what they teach. Everyone at the studio is very friendly and welcoming.They have truly become our dance family. Would recommend 100%

My wife grew up dancing competitively international ballroom and Latin and she is an amazing dancer. I always wanted to learn but we couldn’t find the studio that was offering the beginners level classes for me and a very high level classes for my wife. We visited Planet Ballroom a few years ago and while I could learn a lot there, my wife thought it was a joke for her. The level of classes taught there was primitive in her opinion and they were forcing her to start from the very beginning while she knew more than some of the instructors. They clearly wanted her money and didn’t care about anything else. So we quit and didn’t dance for a while. Last year we learned about Smooth and decided to give it a try and what a difference! They offer classes for the very beginners, intermediate and all the way to the highest competition level students. We finally were able to find dance studio where both of us can dance at our levels and then enjoy weekly parties together. Instructors are wonderful, they are patient and encouraging and I learned so much already. All students love the studio and are very welcoming to new people. We have the best dancing experience at Smooth, we made many new friends, several of our old friends joined us and we all having fun dancing together.

Love it! Love it! Love it! Smooth dance studio is the best! I called every dance studio within 30-40 miles radius looking for a place to dance. I spoke with at least ten of them and was giving up hope. Most places were very basic level, social dancing, American style and while it would be great for many people I was looking for a much higher level of dancing specializing in international ballroom. I got very excited when I heard that Smooth was exactly the studio I was looking for. I have been taking group classes and private lessons there with Chris for over a year and absolutely love it! I am there 5 days a week my work schedule permitting and miss it so much on the days I can’t come. Chris is an amazing instructor, he is very easy and always fun to dance with but what I like the best about him is his choreography skills. He is an incredible choreographer! In my ten years of competitive ballroom dancing career I don’t think I have met anyone who feels the music and translates it into dance better than Chris. It is a special gift that can’t be learned. I had so much fun creating my performance dance with him and probably drove him crazy making him change parts of my dance until it felt perfect for me. Chris was always very patient and very professional. I didn’t know the steps I wanted to dance, I just told him how I see it and what I feel with each part of music and he knew exactly what figures to put together and at the end it was just perfect! This is by far my favorite dance I ever performed. Chris takes into consideration students’ dance abilities, their expression skills, presentation level and creates unique piece, not a cookie cutter approach that many instructors have. I can’t wait to work with him on my next performance dance!

Just visited this studio and really liked the atmosphere. The Owner Christopher is very nice, patient and I really liked his method of instruction. Very knowledgeable about different dance styles. I will most likely become a student!

First few classes were with Ally and she hardly spoke to us or anyone. She constantly seemed confused and was always late. We switched to work with Alex or Chris (he goes by two different names...???) and never have I experienced such unprofessional behavior before. Alex/Chris barked commands, laughed at our attempts, used vulgar language and expressions and overall was the rudest person I’ve met in a long time. Add to that the cesspool of inappropriate touching and flirting we’ve witnessed at the open dances...run, don’t walk the other direction. I wish we had found more honest reviews like this (not written by owners or their friends) and the Smooth Dance Studio Georgia Instagram before we wasted almost 300.
