Northwest short beauty. Muddy and rustic but short enough for a good walk. Great birding place too. Today I saw Turkey Vultures, Green Heron, Canadian Geese, Mergansers and a super cute Field Mouse. Great hike for those of us who don't like elevations and for kids. Boots are a good idea.

Hidden gem! This is not prominently marked on Google Maps (i.e. not the green color that a park usually has) but it’s actually quite spacious. We went during the new year break and we felt we had the entire space - we rarely saw people coming here. You get to see a variety of landscapes - grassland, wetland, forest, and river bank all in this park. With winter clouds and sunshine, the view is spectacular. Though, it can get quite muddy in some places, so make sure to wear waterproof hiking boots.

My wife and I visited here to go for a walk. The walk was pleasant but after about a half mile in we came to some logs that we would have to hike on to continue. At our age neither of us felt confident in our balance so we called this as the end for us. The trail was mostly flat with a brief down hill at the beginning which, of course, became a brief uphill at the end. The trail travels along the river with a few nice view spots. The trail was narrow with berries growing on both sides.

Really nice area to explore: good parking with a restroom, easy and clean main trail, and multiple smaller trails

What a neat spot! I was just out on a drive with my two sons and nephew whom were all getting a big stir crazy.. I stumbled upon this place and pulled into the small, unassuming parking lot. There are a few benches right as you pull in that have a nice view of scenery. As you walk down a semi steep slope, you are met with open field and a few lakes. We kept walking straight which led us onto a trail. There were many branches and obstructions on the path so just be careful! We stopped and had a beautiful view of a private beach along the river. I’m glad I stopped here with my family. It was good exercise and a lovely time spent with Mother Nature.
