I visited Sols with a friend of mine who is from NY. Interested in what all the deli hype was about, I thought I'd give it a try. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. I ordered the Brisket Latkas w/ gravy, my friend, the Pastrami. Both were prime examples of the delicious simplicity that is NY style gastronomy. There wasn't a single thing on our plates that wasn't authentic or tasty. Sol, the owner, even came out to check on the food. Afterwards we had the fluffy, not too sweet cheesecake which is award winning for a reason. I left full, happy, and eager to come back for more. For an amazing lunch experience, you can't go wrong with Sols.

Had the half sandwich and cup of soup special. For 12 I had a good size serving of matzos ball soup which had lots of chicken chunks, and a loaded half pastrami sandwich. While not the very best hot pastrami I've ever had, it was still fantastic. I'll definitely return. BTW, Sol's shares it's space with a pizza shop which also looked pretty good. A very unusual combination!

Sol's food is delicious. He makes everything from scratch, no Boar's Head meats found here. Prices are great especially since you are so full and take leftovers home for the next day. Make sure you get some chop liver and a great knish and oh yeah, terrific matzo ball soup. Save room for the best cheese cake you have ever eaten. Enjoy

Not only is the atmosphere reminiscent of an older and more simpler time but so is the heart of this establishment. When entering this fun little spot I was relieved to see that the space was accommodating even on a Friday night. The waiting staff was incredible, particularly a young man named Matt who made my comfort his up most priority. His recommendations fit me to a T, it was if he had known me for years. This was the perfect ending to a hectic week, but then again cheesecake always is.

We were there for an hour waiting for half our party to show up. The owner and staff were great and made the wait actually fun. The food was excellent and the cheese cake was by far the best I've ever had!

I'm an ex-NewYorker with plenty of deli experience. We had great sandwiches. The pastrami was lean and very tasty. The fries and onion rings were just right. The waiter, Micah, was delightful. This was my second time there. Finally a good deli!

Delicious food, excellent service (ask for Joe) and great value! The slaw and macaroni salads are freshly made and the pickles are very tasty and crunchy too -- and you can have as many as you want no charge. This is my new favorite lunch spot. I recommend the Rachel (pastrami, Swiss cheese) for a mouthwatering meal ;)
