Tatiana is an amazing person and chess coach! She has taught our son for the last 3 years, including helping him prepare for the Nationals in 2018. His game has improved remarkably and more importantly so has his love and appreciation for the game. Tatiana is hands down his (and our!) favorite chess coach!

Coach Tatiana is incredible. She has worked with both our boys since they began chess in Kindergarten. She inspired a love for the game, and also a good work ethic for practicing and developing between lessons. She also gets results, both with our kids and others, many of whom have been ranked among the top scholastic players for their grades nationally. We recommend her without reservation.
Tatiana has been an inspiration to our son, Eli. Eli was reluctant when starting chess. On my own, I would not have brought about the love for chess that Tatiana has brought forth in Eli. Not only has she been a great teacher, she has been a great partner to me in developing Eli’s level of commitment to the game. Meanwhile, Tatiana takes carefully considers her students’ strengths and weaknesses to plan her lessons. She reviews online games between lessons to pinpoint key areas for development. Her teaching style incorporates a great balance of asking questions, creating puzzles, and reviewing tactics. Meanwhile, Tatiana clearly cares about Eli as a person and has made great recommendations on ways to continue his development outside of formal lessons. She is a kind and caring person. We couldn’t think of a better teacher for any chess player regardless of their level.
Tatiana is an amazing teacher. My son first took a class with her when he was in kindergarten; now he's back for individual coaching at age 14. Not only is Tatiana brilliant (obviously), but she's also compassionate and adaptable to different students' different learning styles. Highly recommend!!
