The food here is very flavourful. If the idea of getting black beans and rice at a restaurant sounds like a waste of time to you, then this is the place to prove that wrong. They have a few vegetarian dishes that are easily made vegan. My girlfriend said the meat dishes were awesome as well. The owner is remarkably nice and has a great singing voice. I look forward to coming to Somerset again and eating at Pura Vida.

Loved this place! The food was wonderful, and the owner was amazing and very helpful to us, he even played his guitar and sang a song to us. Very friendly, and clean as well!
Amazing gem of a place! We stopped while traveling through KY and were so delighted to find delicious fresh authentic Costa Rican food. Plus the owner was so lovely and made us feel like family. He even serenaded us with a beautiful song!
The food is absolutely delicious and the owner was very friendly! Make sure you try the mango smoothie and fried plantain

Pura Vida was very enjoyable and refreshing. A simple establishment with extremely hospitable service and delicious food. Really appreciated the food. I ordered the tour and it left me feeling a good type of full. I'd place it a healthier restaurant to eat at in comparison to what other restaurants Somerset has. We will definitely return for amazing Costa Rican food and the amazing staff at Pura Vida.
Such wonderful, flavorful comfort food. The empanadas were amazing and the atmosphere very inviting. I look forward to going back.
