Sophia Brown is a great asset to the medical industry. She is caring, honest, thoughtful and very thorough. She treats urgent needs promptly and will ensure that the right testing is done to get to the root of the problem.

Dr. Brown has been fantastic from start to finish. I’ve seen her multiple times throughout the last year and half and have never had a bad experience. Every time she takes her time with me allowing me to ask questions and gives me answers. She remembers me every time and is always pleasant. I nearly switched offices at one point and then was seen by Dr. Brown, that office visit changed my mind completely. I feel I’m in great hands with Dr. Brown and highly recommend her.

I'm very fussy about doctors and was delighted to find Doc Sophia. She's concerned, informed, considerate and intelligent. Sensitive to my reluctance to take pills. Hope she sticks around a good long while. Good doc.

Worst \doctor experience\ ever! Wife went in today and the nurse practitioner said I understand you injured your neck and back but you need to see your obgyn. That's wonderful but we use a midwife so that isn't an option. So the doctor went on to berate my wife about does my wife want to have a birth defect and told her to just be tough as she only has a knot in her back! She did no preliminary scans or anything to determine if there was actual damage. Let alone prescribe any pain medicine or recommend OTC treatment.

My primary care physician of 30 years retired and I started see Sophia Brown FNP. I was informed that she was designated in the clinic to cover the retired MD patients and would have my 30 years of medical records available. I saw her three times at the clinic, and and was told I had to see specialists for RX and continual diabetic and cardio care, which I have done. I requested through the MA (Tricia Nishimoto) to have a blood test to include HA1c in preparation for my next appointment with my Endocrinologist, the MA informed me that Sophie would not include the HA1c test as the Endocrinologist would have to do that separately. After getting blood drawn at Sophia's clinic, I asked the staff again to have the HA1c added to the blood test and was refused again. Sophie then called me to her office doorway and took a minute to berate me for asking, and apparently had my records mixed up as she accused me openly and loudly enough for all staff to hear that my previous PCP had declined to see me - which of course was impossible as I have only had one PCP in the past 30 years. When I questioned Sophie on where that information came from, She only said \maybe I have you mixed up with another patient\. No apology for her mistake and verbal abuse and still refused to add the important HA1c test, and because I questioned her, she suggested again loudly that I should find another PCP. I had to have a 2nd blood test at a separate lab which of course my insurance will refuse to cover. Two days later and I am still astonished at the verbal abuse that Sophie exhibited and her refusal to order the correct blood test. I'm not sure where the big chip on Sophie's shoulder came from, but I didn't feel I deserved to be treated that way by a medical care professional. I recommend finding another PCP even if Sophie is designated to take over for your retired MD.
