Nice view of fall colors and awesome bike trials.. Clean and less crowded.. small falls named black hawk is jus 5 mins drive from here is also another place to visit..

The Jon J Duerr forest preserve boasts some lovely views right along the fox river and easily connects via a short dirt path to the Fox River Trail and specifically the long Five Islands river bridge. The park has two riverside shelters, one with a fireplace! There is an outdoor grill available too, which my family has used for gatherings.

Clean, plentiful parking. Paved walking/biking paths. Beautiful outdoor space on the Fox River. Seating, picnic benches and covered areas for outdoor get togethers.Bring your binoculars and enjoy!
