Stayed here last year. Loved this campground and will definitely come back this year too!

This was a lovely campground. Positives include:. Water and electric hookups at RV site, very clean modern bathrooms and shower rooms, unique circle layout of site, cabins with AC, small convenience store, fresh eggs from on-site hens, it is right on the Van Kal trail and there is a playground area for kids. When we were there they had a small Saturday afternoon market with BBQ and live music. It was also very quiet, though we could hear one person's music early in the evening but not too late. Negatives were: it is not on water so there is a short drive to the beach (10-15 minutes) and since the campground is new, there are no mature trees so the RV site have no shade though the tent areas are under trees and shady.
Overall, we had a great time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had emailed them about wanting a "rustic" campsite, and the "primitive" sites weren't really what I had in mind. Neighbors were super close, and we just happened to be next to a huge party. We saw some other sites that would have been ideal for what we wanted, so I would suggest talking in detail to the staff in what kind of sit you want. Some are way more open and others are much more tucked back. On the first day, bathrooms were super clean. On the last day, there was only one toilet that was usable. The store had tons of cute goodies to purchase at reasonable prices. Like I said, overall it was a good stay, but there could be some improvements.
We loved this campground! It's small enough that it stays pretty quiet! The owners are SO sweet, and helpful! They have the cutest little store, and a very clean bathroom facility! We will be back for sure!!
You couldn't ask for better service then you get here.....they work with We Care so basically from my experience when your faced with no heat makes things a bit worse....thankfully we have Kal-Haven Outpost there's only a couple steps one calling we care once they give the ok go out to Kal-Hacen Outpost they can fill up to a 100 pound 23.5 gallons they are the best place to get your propane tanks filled
Quiet, spacious, convenient, and clean. Wish it had some sort of water activity. Definitely kid and dog friendly which is a plus for us.
A dog friendly place not far from South Haven. Really enjoyed our time here. There was a cat next door so our dog was triggered all the time but that's life little doggy! Beds were comfortable and the loft was cool for my son. Washer dryer on site and short walk to bathrooms and showers but none in the cabin. No plumbing in the cabins at all. Was fair price and we enjoyed our get away. The bugs is big out here!
This is such a nice camp site! I would highly recommend it to anyone! Your close enough to South Haven that you can enjoy the beach and down town. As well as splendid access to the Kal-Haven trail where you can enjoy a nice walk or bike ride! As far as the camp itself, I've stayed in the primitive camp sites and they're were nice and wooded, but cleared enough so that you had space to set up a tent. There was a bathhouse in the center of the campground, which offered showers and a very nice clean bathrooms! Overall a wonderful experience and I hope to return again!
