South Jersey Ballet School is like my second home. I have been dancing for Andrea Duffin for almost 12 years now and I could not imagine learning ballet from any other instructor. Being a student at SJBS has not only made my love for dance grow even more, but has pushed me to work harder in my everyday life. Having such a close bond with all of my peers and being in a creative environment has helped me grow as both a dancer and as a person. All of the teachers are very supportive and really demonstrate what having a passion for something is like. Without dance, I don't know where I would be everyday after school or what I would be doing in my free time. Having SJBS in my life is a gift I will always cherish and remember, even after graduating.
South Jersey Ballet School (home of South Jersey Ballet Theatre) has been my second home for 12 years and I truly can't imagine what my life would be like without everything I have learned there. Andrea Duffin is an outstanding ballet instructor who really cares about the students and wants them to succeed. In addition to learning correct ballet technique, I have learned so many other important lessons such as how to collaborate with others to produce creative results and the importance of hard work and dedication. While taking many classes to improve technique, students are provided with many opportunities to perform in professionally organized full length ballets. There is no better place to study the fine art of ballet in South Jersey than SJB, as Andrea and her team never fail to produce confident, hard-working, and successful young women.

The past 7 years that I have spent at South Jersey Ballet have been the best of my life. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for all that Mrs. Andrea Duffin and her staff have helped me to achieve, and all the amazing opportunities that she has provided me with. I will forever cherish the memories and lessons I have learned under her instruction, both in ballet and in life. Mrs. Andrea Duffin has been such a powerful and inspirational person for me to look up to, her passion is contagious and her love for this art form is truly admirable. South Jersey Ballet is a second-home to me. My time at the school has shaped me into the person and dancer that I am today, and has opened doors for me that otherwise would never have been explored. As I look to begin my dancing career, I know that nothing would have been possible without the guidance I have received from Mrs. Duffin at South Jersey Ballet. She believes in all of her students and makes the journey in studying ballet challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding. Students looking to begin or further their ballet training are lucky to have a classical ballet school like SJB within reach.
Teaching at South Jersey Ballet School for the past several years under the direction of Andrea Duffin has been an absolute honor and a privilege. Andrea has dedicated her entire life to ballet, but better yet she has dedicated herself to teaching children the very best practices. As Andrea's rehearsal assistant, I work with her very closely. I am constantly blown away by her knowledge of the body, the history of dance, her creative choreography, and her positive rapport with children. I have been a ballerina my whole life and have stepped foot in many other local studios over the years. Nothing compares to the caliber of training the dancers at SJBS recieve. Her dancers not only shine onstage, but reach a level of professionalism that is truly so rare for a local ballet school. The training at SJBS is on par with big name professional schools all over the country--I am saying this as someone who spent many years training at those professional schools. I feel lucky to teach dancers of all ages at SJBS. Aside from the wonderful training Andrea gives, I must mention the size of the beautiful studios in this school. Again, it is rare to see a local school with the quality of the marley floors SJBS offers, as well as the giant rehearsal spaces. SJBS is a special place. It is a school where I wish I received my training as a child.
