Jeff (and his capable 12 year-old son) provides the best possible experience imaginable. IMO this is the most exceptional learning environment anywhere in the country. Jeff is a very passionate and gifted teacher who has created a unique situation to get you to your goals efficiently. He goes far beyond what would ever be expected from a instructor to ensure the success of the student.

We rented a tandem kayak to take our corgis on the water. Check-in was quick and the staff are helpful and friendly. We had a good time and so did our corgis. Would definitely go back when we’re South Padre again.

Instructor and owner Jeff Hoxtell is awesome! Brings years of experience with teaching students. Very easy going yet safety conscious as well. Also bought some new gear at a good discount. I highly recommend his instruction and shop without any reservation

Jeff Hoxtell at South Padre Water Sports, in South Padre Island, TX, is the place to go for kiteboarding lessons. Jeff gave me the best instruction to date. The radio in the helmet is state of the art giving the student real-time instruction on the fly. No need to worry the other kites in the trading area, Jeff takes you out by boat ensuring a safe and private session. I felt my progress accelerate exponentially. I’d highly recommend Jeff and Air Padre. I know I’ll be back as soon as I can for more lessons.

I was happy to find this place, the staff is great, friendly and actually care. I'll return to this shop when I come back to the Padre island. We booked the Jet ski tour and was happy to find some dauphin's.
