Guys on beach were nice. Had to walk up to a different store front to actually rent the equipment. Customer service at the actual storefront was underwhelming and unapologetic for their level of disorganization. It Took a lot longer than it should have for us to compete waiver and pay... in the range of 20 mins. Then we walked back down to beach and around corner to some some hidden boat house, and then finally back to beach to get kayak. Once we finished, we had to walk back to boat house to drop off gear instead of leaving with the tent on the beach. They would definitely get more business if they streamlined the process and reduced the number of steps required to rent a kayak for an hour.

My guide left me behind! I reserved a sunset paddle board tour and was at the beach kiosk at the meeting time. There was no one there, and no after hours number to call. I waited for half an hour before I gave up. With some persistent calls the next day I was finally able to talk to a manager. He explained that the guide had left early with the one other person who reserved the tour. He was nice enough, but never actually apologized. I got a refund for the tour, but I can't get back my wasted time and effort during my one night stay in Tahoe. I recommend booking a tour with a more reliable company.

South Tahoe Standup has the best prices around and very convenient access to the beach. We dealt with 4 or 5 employees and each one was professional and knowledgeable. Note for first timers, just rent the board for an hour, you'll be worn out well before your time is up!

Awful place. Went during business hours & place was locked & idiot looking guy inside in the back wouldn't open door. Horrible customer service. Go somewhere else!

Wrong hours. Closed at 3pm on Sunday. Too bad for a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.

Worst place. I'm a 6.5 feet tall guy and they promise to have a special board for SUP. But they gave me a normal board and it did not work. After 30 min for 25 I finished. They forgot to give me my driver license back. I try to phone several times and send emails but no feedback. Unfriendly place.
