This dance studio is an incredible place. It has something to offer for all: private lessons, group lessons and practice parties. There are 5 professional instructors who have a great sense of humor and couldn't be more fun! They are as gifted in making the studio a happy place as they are in teaching and making you feel comfortable from the very first lesson. All are so good at their craft, friendly, encouraging, and upbeat. Their love of dancing is so obvious and contagious! Each instructor shouts out a hello and a goodbye as you come and go. You feel they are sincerely glad to see you and genuinely happy as you show progress in different dances and dance steps. The staff continuously introduces you to other dance students and the studio builds a real community of friendship, camaraderie, and esprit de corps. Every Friday night, for dance practice parties, the studio is set up like a cabaret that evokes the feeling of a European dance club where friends meet to dance. The high standard of etiquette and refined manners mimics a culture of bygone eras. I had just planned to do the introductory package, in preparation for dancing at a wedding. I was hooked by the second private lesson. Surprised by how much joy dancing here brings, before lesson 10, I knew this had become a new passion! I am so fortunate to have found this place and anyone considering dancing for fitness, brain health, or just looking for fun, shouldn’t hesitate to try the introductory package!

This studio is great; It has a different name which is now Carolina DanceWorks! The instructors, atmosphere, and dancing is great and welcoming! Ballroom dancing is a very fun way to get exercise! All of the staff are friendly and helpful!
We purchased the \Introductory Special\ at Carolina DanceWorks, formerly Fred Astaire Dance Studios. This included three 30 minute private lessons, one group lesson, and one practice party. Our instructor was excellent overall. However, by the second lesson and continuing on into the third, the owner's sales pitch had become quite aggressive, and as such, made my partner and I uncomfortable. We were put in the awkward position of having to repeatedly say no and explain ourselves. For this reason, we decided not to pursue lessons beyond the introductory special. The strange thing is, sans the aggressive sales pressure, we might have considered additional lessons. I do understand that business is business; nonetheless, such excessive sales zeal transformed a positive experience into just the opposite and thus ran counter to its own intent. TL; DR, good instruction and pushy sales tactics.
Super friendly great fun learned a plenty
