Two Pennies- Animation

Best Place in Southern Pines for a film. We are hoping Two Pennies is a big big hit.

Such an amazing place to enjoy the retro feel of a beautifully maintained old-school style theatre. Great staff.

The movie theater is on the smaller side but gets the job done as the only movie theater in the downtown area. Usually they have all the popular movies and on most night you wouldn't have a problem finding a seat. They also do occasional throw backs by showing classics but you have to check the schedule on their website.

Beautiful old theater from the 1940s lovingly restored. Nice selection of new movies, independent movies, and classics during the summer. Concessions available, including beer and wine, and the Amish popcorn is to die for! If you haven’t visited yet, please do. You’ll thoroughly enjoy it!

Wonderful sitting outside. Social distancing by sitting in circles. The movie was easy to see and hear. Great Job!!

This theater denied entry to us because our 13-month-old son did not have a face mask. PER THE CDC’s WEBSITE, children under the age of TWO are not supposed to wear masks. I will never visit this establishment again, nor will anyone we have passed this information along to. Absolutely absurd to try and set guidelines that are obviously detrimental to a child’s health.

A beautiful working historic theater that features film and live performing art through out the year. Prices vary per the event. Great concessions with a good variety of snacks and drinks. Clean restrooms and two levels of clean seats. A very special Moore County treasure where locals and visitors of all types come to support the arts.
