Great University. My brother goes here and he loves it. Campus is nice, and people are friendly. Professors are very educated. The meal plan is pretty good.

LTUs Audio Engineering program does little to distinguish itself from similar cheaper programs at other schools and doesn't cover several vital subjects needed to succeed in the field such as training in programmable equipment like crestron. The total approximate cost of my schooling was about 120,000 and I am still lacking the knowledge required to get an entry-level job in the field. I could have bought a house for the amount of money I have invested into this degree, but instead I am destined to work two jobs for the next several years... tl;dr: The Audio program is seriously not worth it. Uses the same professors as Schoolcraft, just go there. - R. Wagner, Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering Technologies, Class of 2016 (3.9 GPA).

LTU is a great school. A bit pricy, but if you put the time in, most of the program will help you get to where you want to go. It is not a diploma mill, but I've seen students that should not have been admitted. It makes you wonder if the high tuition opens more doors than it should. Only wish the cost was lower, but you do get real teachers from real world jobs, and some of them are brilliant scholars besides being just instructors. Overall, I'd rate the school very high. better than Wayne State, Oakland, and comparable to U of M and Michigan State. No, it is not MIT or Cal Tech, but it is close to Michigan Tech. The availability of classes is better than 95% of universities out there.

Great Engineering school. One of the very best. My BSEE has prepared me and served me very well to work in a very fast moving industry. It's a great time to be a Engineer, technology has never been more challenging and exciting and LTU is highly respected.

After getting a Degree in their Computer Science, Software Development, Web Development Program and being actively a part of Phi Kappa Upsilon, expected to demonstrate confidence and professionalism in the field once completed everything. But instead demonstrated vindictiveness over time against other people in the same field from other schools all over the globe because of the lack of knowledge gained in the program to succeed, unlike others had. THIS SCHOOL IS NOT RECOMMENDED OR THE PROGRAMS WITHIN IT to people if you intend to have confidence WITH professionalism taught to you and engrained in you, so you can demonstrate it for all like the advertisements. These traits will not be given to you. You will be taken in willingly, and even given a semi-serious job there to help you along and pay bills, BUT you will NOT make people happy doing what you love. You will instead lash out at people on occasion in a vindictive fashion and not enjoy what you do. THIS IS FACTUAL. Working there behind a desk still trying to use my degree all over the country and planet since 2011. This is a warning for all to stay away from this school and people that have just Lawrence Tech Degrees, as you will not go anywhere with them and be stuck in a rut for over 8 years in counting. This has NOTHING to do with the current economy and status of Detroit Michigan right now. It has to do with all the professors and people that have been around and taught over the time being here. Learned nothing about helping oneself or how to handle a situation properly in a polite manner. Still feel uneducated and act unprofessional after attaining degree. BE WARNED AND STAY AWAY! THIS SCHOOL WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE AND NOT MAKE IT BETTER.
