My daughter attended Optiminds tutoring, failing two 11th grade level classes and within 6 sessions she improved to a \C\ level in both classes. Dr. Jane is no nonsense and displayed structure and discipline to have her clients focused on the task at hand. I appreciate her program and her tutors definitely yielded results for my daughter.

The learning environment within Optiminds is best described as toxic. After attending for 7 sessions and remaining hopeful that each would be better than its predecessor, I can whole heartedly say that I was disappointed at every turn. Staff and students alike walk on eggshells in the hopes of not sending the directing doctor off into a fit of blind, unfounded rage. Your failures were always thrown into the ridiculing spotlight, most times for all to witness, while your accomplishments were seldom recognized. Scarcely did I receive any personal guidance as well during the 3 hour sessions and when it did come my way, the attitudes of the staff and directing doctor towards my needs and struggles were often condescending and more mockery than actual direction or positive constructive criticism. It became ever more difficult to concentrate on my personal advancement with the constant threat of a verbal bombardment awaiting to be unleashed at any moment. I would not recommend Optiminds to anyone looking for a positive, encouraging, and hopeful learning environment.
OK GIRL TAKE A SEAT. SO OPTIMINDS AND DOCTOR JAN IS TERRIBLE AND I WOULDNT RECCOMENED IT TO ANYONE! NOT EVEN MY GREAT GRANDMA! DR JAN IS A MONEY HUNGRY OLD WOMAN AND DOESNT PROVIDE THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THESE KIDS NEED! I PUT MY DAUGHTER IN THERE FOR SAT PREPARATION! SHE HAS BEEN THERE FOR 11 SESSIONS AND HAS TAKEN THE PRACTICE TEST ALL 11 TIMES! EACH TIME SHE TAKES THE TEST AND THEN DOES SOMETHING ON THE COMPUTER! THIS IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! IF YOU WANT YPUR CHILD TO GET INTO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE THEN HERE YOU GO LET THEM FAIL! IF YOU HAVE GREATER IDEAS THEN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I CAME HERE FROM GRAND RAPIDS EACH WEEK AND IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY! MY DAUGHTER WOULD'VE NEVER GOT INTO HARVARD IF SHE STAYED HERE!!
