As others have said, I reserved a truck weeks in advance and got a call the night before my move that it wasn’t available. Scrambling ensued. They told me to call budget main line to get the situation remedied. And then budget said they’d figure it out and call me back... never call me back. That’s on budget national but I mean this company continues to work with them when this happens constantly so idk. But yeah long story short we end up cancelling morning of our move and finding a smaller truck from uhaul in Elk Grove, causing us to need multiple trips for our move. So yeah wouldn’t recommend, not that much cheaper than uhaul for the risk you take of them screwing you over and even after screwing us the customer service wasn’t even helpful or apologetic. Not worth the stress

Worst experience EVER! Reserved a truck weeks in advance, came all the way from Bay Area expecting to have it available only to be rewarded with rude attitude by the girl working there. Had to run down to Uhaul up the street (100% better service to say the least!) Wishing you GOOD LUCK if you try this place.

Worst experience ever. I reserved a moving truck more than a week before moving day. I get a call the evening before telling me that they wouldn't have one available, but that they would send me to another location that had one out in the sticks. The second location calls me the morning of the move literally 20 minutes before my pick up time and tells me that they also don't have a truck available. I tried for 2 hours to call to find out what could be done, and no answer. I left a message and now over 24 hours later, my call still hasn't been returned. I ended up having to go out to Rancho Cordova to rent a truck at Uhaul, where they were super nice and apologetic for what a bad experience I had with Budget rental. In fact, Uhaul threw in moving pads and a dolly for free because my day had gone so badly. Never ever again will I make the mistake of trying to reserve a Budget truck, nor will I ever again do business at Southside Rentals. They left me high and dry on moving day, and Uhaul picked up the slack.
