I can only speak of my personal experience. Either this corporation fails to adequately train the staff, or the staff does not tell the truth. Their disinformation regarding the delivery of a kiln led to a lot of frustration and lost money. Take the time to drive to High Water Clay.

I'm from Virginia and have family in SC so I stop here every time I visit. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. I also order from them during the year. They have the best prices on most everything and their packaging is great.

Clay-King doesn’t respond to emails and calls in a timely and professional manner. I wanted to exchange a product and did my due diligence in communicating my needs. They, however, shipped the product without reading and listening to my requests.

Great selection of supplies, clays and glazes. Great prices too! Glazes are less than MSRP and great selection of brands.. Knowledgeable staff and well worth the trip.

I purchased a Skutt kiln, it arrived with some cosmetic flaws which I was accepting of but not thrilled. But after taking it apart to place on the stand (as suggested in the manual) I found a very broken terminal brick and a flaw in the floor. After some negotiating Clay-King and I came to an acceptable resolution. The Good: They are accessible via phone and email, have lower pricing, easy to navigate website, wide range of pottery supplies and fast shipping. Although I did experience a bit of a bump in the road in my purchasing a new kiln, in the end I am a happy customer and will purchase from Clay-King again.
