One of my favorite rest stops. Wonderful views. Nice area to stretch your legs and the bathrooms are well kept!
Always nice to have a rest area spaced just right and the cleanliness of this particular area was awesome.
Nice place, clean bathrooms, lots of parking.. beautiful views and a walking path along the edge over looking the lake... important side note!! The vending machines will charge you 4 dollars for the 2 dollar sodas if you use a debit card..you are only like 30-40 minutes from the petrol and other services if you headed east..you're about the same distance to the flying J and other services heading west.
Most rest areas are decent and serve their purpose well. This one has an extra to give you a longer break from freeway driving. There are several short paths that meander along the channelled scabland by Sprague Lake. You can see the long lake and desert geography. Just be vigilant for snakes in summer.
