I've gotta say. I never deal with a person at any of my utilities, other than my water. (I've had a bad water line) I've gone in there several times, and can honestly say, I've not had a bad experience, except for one person. I'll keep an eye out bc I have to go in AGAIN. We'll see ;)

I work for a local business and I just called with a simple question of whether or not the City of Springdale has an address list that can be purchased for our use. The woman I spoke to rudely and condescendingly laughed at my question and transferred my call. Her response was unprofessional and quite frankly an embarrassing representation of the City of Springdale.

We've paid our bill in full on time for 4 years. So when we got a letter for non-payment, threatening to turn our water of in 7 days we were a bit surprised. When my wife called in to see what happened--she wrote the check and was 100% positive it was sent--she talked briefly to two individuals. The first transferred her without warning while she was mid-sentence and the 2nd lady was equally rude and short and hung up on her before my wife had a chance to ask questions. I understand that they probably deal with difficult people often, but there is no excuse for this level of rudeness. Our city deserves better service.

Bill due on a Thursday. Forgot to bring my stub with me. The very esteemed front desk clerk who probably has a PhD, of course, said my identity could not be verified by just my name, two forms of government issued photo ID, and knowledge of my address. I had to know an obscure 12 digit account number. Not to criticize your policy procedures, who cares if a stranger came in and paid my bills? Don't you want your money? So because I have a job, I didn't make it there before 5:00 Friday. On Saturday, I received a royal decree from the Water Reichskomissariat of Springdale demanding the payment was paid plus a late fee by 8 am Monday, or else a team of sophisticated agents would be out to disconnect my water AT 8 AM SHARP, and let me know that I was a disgusting second class citizen who doesn't deserve due process. So of course in the fine print: \Our offices open at 8 am Monday.\ So it's a catch-22 to get as many people to pay that delicious shutoff fee as possible. All for water that actually tastes like dirt, by the way. The government should be paying me a monthly royalty fee to use their nasty water.

Every single customer service representative at this office must be a miserable person, they are the most rude people I have ever spoken with and I always get the same amount of rudeness every single time for the past four years. They are hateful, unprofessional! I myself work for a utility company and I wouldn’t dare threat our customers the way the be doing their local customers! It’s horrible! Wish we had other options on company’s! Y’all need Jesus customers care reps!
