Absolutely beautiful drive by the river. Usually a pretty rough crowd. I drive through often (out of my way, but worth it), but don't typically hang out for more than 10 minutes when I do stop. Would be good for a picnic though. Also, across the river is private property, so if you go, don't go ashore on the other side or you are trespassing

This place really started going downhill for a bit, but with the addition of some trash bags, it's stays slightly cleaner.

I took my Granddaughter swimming and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it is,, Deep enough to swim and shallow enough for the wee ones.. Clean and clear.. I have bragged about it to Family and friends so I am sure that they will go too,, Only 7 miles from where I live in Springfield,, People were fishing , swimming, and tubing.. Great for FAMILY!

Do not try to camp here. This is not really a park. It's more of a side of the road river access spot. My family home is across the river from this spot and people need to know that the land across the river is private property. Meaning if you go across the river and get on the land you will be trespassing. I've seen people swimming and fishing here but to be honest there are better places to do both of those things. There are also random people parked here sometimes and at night. It's a perfect spot for people to meet up and go somewhere else. Remember people live across the river and having loud parties will get the cops called on you. Sorry not sorry.

Nice place for younger kids, since there's a lot of places that are shallow enough to touch. And not too much of a rowdy crowd. My biggest turn off was there are zero trash cans anywhere (that I saw at least and I walked around a bit) And with that, people throw trash on the ground.
