Update: I attended their soft opening of their dining room! It was a beautiful setting with a warm rustic feel. The food I tried was excellent. Stuffed mushrooms and Sauerbraten. You can definitely tell that a lot of time and effort were put into these authentic dishes. The wait staff was very well prepared for an opening night. I'm really looking forward to coming back here regularly! Very delicious and authentic food! So glad to see a restaurant like this come to Spruce Pine! We ordered take out because their dining room wasn't quite ready. The Chicken Parmigiano was excellent along with the homemade marinara. We got a very healthy portion of antipasto for an appetizer. The best of all was the German Beesting Cake and Chocolate mousse! Can't wait to eat here again! I chatted with the chef for a long while out on the sidewalk and he was very knowledgeable and kind. Keep in mind this restaurant is on the second floor and the entrance was a bit difficult to find but it adds to the charm and gives it the "hole in the wall" feel. But it is quite spacious upstairs and they even have handicap entrance. Definitely go here if you're visiting town or if you're a local. I can't wait to go back and try some of the German dishes!

Excellent food, from the appetizers to dessert. The presentation and quality of the meals were top rated. Although, we have only been there for dinner, I look forward to having lunch there too! Well worth the drive to Spruce Pine.
I ordered two of the Chicken Parmigiana entrees and three desserts. The Chicken Parmigiana can feed two people if you order the large size. With two orders, I was able to feed my family of three and have plenty left over for lunch the next day. The chicken breasts were cook perfectly, seasoned well and good in size. The sauce that was topped on the chicken and spaghetti noodles was tasteful. I ordered the New York Cheesecake, Bee Sting and Chocolate Mousse. All three desserts were delicious. I have never tried a Bee Sting cake before and I was not disappointed at all. Definitely recommend trying. Overall, excellent food and staff. Can’t wait to try more menu items!
Amazing Italian made from scratch. Prices are very affordable!! Delicious
Very good, no complaints! The owner works hard and delivers quality food!
We attended the soft opening of this charming restaurant and were delighted with the ambiance, the service and the food. The meatballs and marinara appetizer was authentic home cooked comfort food followed by an excellent Fra Diavolo. Unfortunately, the portions were so generous that we couldn't find room for dessert but will make sure to sample their Bee Sting cake next time.
We got to attend the soft opening and loved Chef Mark's eggplant parmesan and chocolate mousse, served personally by Jeanne. Gustoso's home style continental cooking is a fresh new restaurant concept on Locust Street in Spruce Pine, and I highly recommend it!
We had Beef Bourguignon and Sauerbraten with the tomato and cucumber salad. Excellent! A little pricey but worth it! Will go again!
