This place is beautiful for dog walking. Unfortunately, nobody picks own dog poo... I wish each person not to be selfish and keep this place clean and beautiful for everyone and lovely dogs. Otherwise, this trail is wonderful!!

Nice parking lot with pit toilets. Paved path connects to nice foot/bicycle bridge under Red Gate Road bridge. Plenty of connections to paved Fox River trails. Open prairie n woods. Saw birds, a toad n probably beavers swimming. Very clean. Dog friendly with off leash area.

Nice trail for your dog to explore. Easy access to fox river so your pup can swim.

Grounds are maintained. The dogs enjoy the river. That's where the positive stops. Far too often, there is left over fishing trash in the places where the river can be accessed. Fishing string, lures, containers, etc. Likewise, there are people camping in tents with smoldering fires next to the river. On our last visit, we encountered a group of fishermen who were belligerent and verbally threatened us and saying they would call the police because our dogs tried to get into the water where they were fishing. Ban fishing and camping along the river in the off-leash area. We will not return.
