When my wife and I joined The Shores Church, I'll be honest and tell you that I wasn't sure what to expect. I haven't identified as a Christian in many years, and I was carrying with me many negative associations with organized religion. Despite all my reservations however, the congregation at the church welcomed us like old friends. In short order, we were taking part in charity luncheons, cooking classes, and developing fast and true friendships. If you are seeking The Lord's presence in your life, I would wholeheartedly recommend visiting for a Sunday sermon - Pastor Scott preaches from a genuine, caring place, and his messages espouse a morally upstanding lifestyle. If, like I did, you simply feel a desire to join a loving community, to be welcomed as a friend without judgement - come and spend time with us all the same. There's something really special about the community within this church, and I'm so thankful to have become a part of it.

From the day I walked in over 30 years ago, I have known this to be a special church. It’s more than church, it’s more than community, it’s family. Our pastor, Scott Laurain, is a gifted man. Our congregation is loving and caring. Our goal is to make Jesus famous. Our desire is to help others live a life anchored to Jesus. I’m GRATEFUL to be part of this Body of Christ.
Warm, loving atmosphere where you are not afraid to be your eal\ self. When you talk to Pastor Scott, he gives you presence. You sense that he is really listening to you. His energy and fresh perspective is enlightening. Worship is anointed, you are uplifted when it's through. Hospitality is over the top. Freshly ground Starbucks coffee made with purified water and home-made cookies.
Obviously since this is my church I'm gonna say the pros about it. But if I ever encountered any negatives I would say those to right now though I can say, with the new Lead pastor (Scott) he's been getting things done and bringing the church back onto it's feet the outside is looking beautiful with even more renovations to come. People are friendly and are always there to help you. The youth group pastor (Will) is friendly and always willing to listen, I run the cafe so I spend a lot of time around the pastor's and leaders, if you're looking for a good church I would recommend to everyone to check them out. Sunday service starts at 10/10:30am. Wednesday groups begin at 7/7:30pm.
I have been attending The Shores Church for about 4 years now and cannot think of a better place to call home. The people have become like family- loving, kind, caring and selfless. We are community minded and family oriented. I love being able to come to church every Sunday to worship freely and listen to life changing, faith building messages. Our pastor has been on point and sensitive to what God has for us and has a vision to impact SCS.
