Tim was amazing. He helped me buy a boat and helped me avoid 3 different money pits. I highly suggest hiring him. You wouldn't buy a used car without bringing it to a mechanic. Hire him to protect your wallet!
I had Tim inspect a 21' Monterey prior to purchase. Tim communicated very well and kept me up to date in the process, and was quick to respond to all questions. He was also able to do the inspection on short notice. He did a comprehensive exam of the boat, ran the engine, checked integrity of hull and all electrical, and provided an extensive report. I fully recommend Tim for marine surveying.
Tim provided a very thorough survey on a boat we were looking to purchase. The boat was 18 feet so many companies wouldn’t survey the boat for us. Luckily we found Tim because he identified a variety of issues with the boat including some that were safety concerns as well as the boat being in terrible shape overall. It looks beautiful on the outside and inside, but once he opened up the engine area, he found painted over rust, cracking in the frame, etc. He helped us walk away from what could’ve been a money pit and disaster. Thank you, Tim! We’ll definitely be using you again!
I contacted Extreme Marine Surveying on short notice and the response was fantastic!! Tim Haines went out of his way to accommodate me and help complete a difficult schedule with a lot of travel and time involved. His knowledge of marine systems and attention to detail was very helpful to me as yacht first time buyer. His infrared camera was able to see things that most surveyors would have never seen in the structure and bottom of the boat as well as wear factors on the actual operating engines.. We purchased and older boat, so we expected extreme inspection to reveal all. I highly recommend that you give him a call and use his services.. ******
