When you first enter- I recommend watching a short movie in their theatre about Ulysses S. Grant to help set the scene- it was very interesting. Ranger Shawn gave us an amazing tour of the home of Ulysses S Grant. He also stuck around after the tour and gave us valuable information about what other National Park sites to visit. We weren’t expecting to have such an amazing time. Also I got a cancellation stamp for my National Park passport book.

Awesome site filled with information about a wonderful president. The Park Rangers were very knowledgeable and kind. I'd love to go back and walk around some more!

Family vacation continues exploring our 18th presidents home Ulysses Grant called New Haven. Parking can be found off the road and it might be limited depending on the number of people visiting. We were the only ones and the Rangers provided us with information of what could be seen. They played for us a 25 minute video and then the tour of the home and area. You can walk on most of the property from main rooms, kitchen and outdoor areas. The cost is free and you can expect to use 1 hour and a half to start from beginning to end. If in the area, I suggest you make time to visit this site.

The Ranger Ashton was great! He was very informative and knowledgeable and answered our questions. We learned so much we didn’t know about Grant. It wasn’t very busy, so he even answered our questions and talked with us about his experience becoming a park ranger . Very helpful!

Have been here before. Enjoyed the 'museums'. Informational. On this day I went there to dispose of torn, worn American flag. They have an easily identified 'mailbox' for these flags. It's on the driveway
