Moved from California and found St Lukes for prenatal care. I saw the midwives and delivered here as well. I have to say the difference in care and having more of a say in my care is drastically different here in Idaho. They are more supportive and the nurses and midwives were amazing. My delivery experience was much better because of the nurses and staff that was a part of it. I love that they really made me feel like I had choices and wasn't pressured to make a decision. My recovery in the hospital was much better then my previous births the nurses are kind, compassionate and genuinely caring ladies. I really felt great about the whole experience. I went in for a VBAC and ended up getting C-section but it turned out that was the best call because my uterus ruptured. But they were supportive and I never felt stressed or overwhelmed even with the things that came up unexpectedly the staff at the hospital really made it a calm and stress free experience. For me personally at least. I want to thank the Dr's and nurses that cared for me. I really appreciate it. And me and baby are happy and healthy. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I had to be seen at the Meridian ER today. I was extremely impressed withhow efficient they were. Lisa was my nurse. She was amazing.

Her passing went as smoothly as one could hope and I know a large part of it was due to the excellent care provided her by the wonderfully caring staff.

It's a fantastic medical center.and far superior to the competition! I was unable to fully give a comprehensive review earlier. I must preface this by saying I was struck by lightening 22 years ago. I have significant internal tissue damage so finding the right doctors and hospital was a must. All but 1 of my specialized doctors are with St Luke's. I've had 50 surgeries under general ranging from a simple shoulder surgery to a full on craniotomy for a massive blood clot. Had it not been for the St. Luke's staff I would be dead. In fact before the brain surgery they told I should be dead. Another hospital in the valley told be the bleeding had stopped 3 months earlier, but it had not. St. Luke's cardiovascular was looking for the cause of chest pains and did a brain CT for GP's! I'm still here because of them. I suffer from 2 chronic pain disorders (RSD/CRPS and Fibromialga). I don't go to the ER for help unless I can't get it under control. This is one area where St. Luke's is lacking as not everyone is the same when it comes to the treatment of pain. Yes I have a Pain Management Specialist. The doctors need to do a tad better in this area. The nurses are awesome and have always taken great care of me. St. Luke's My Chart is also fantastic!
