Be prepared to run if you are in the ruins and the boat leaves in 20 minutes. It was fun hike(it's a flat island) trip, take snacks and drinks as there is nothing to buy here. Great place

Amazing beautiful place! So peaceful. Feral horses abound and even deer with little fear of humans, nearly walking right up to us. The horses do a great job landscaping, keeping the lawns short and well fertilized!
I didn't know the history of the island and wasnt expecting the rugged beauty there. The ruins were amazing. I loved the wild horses.
So cool!! You can't get into the main house ruins for safety reasons but the grounds are so amazing to explore. Especially when the wild horses of the island are around! Will definitely go back, but not in the summer.
